Location: Confluence, Pennsylvania

General Description: Located in the backcountry of southwestern Pennsylvania, The Outflow Campground site below the dam of Youghiogheny River Lake. Outflow Campground is a relatively small campground with RV sites in three loops along the river flowing out of the lake. Amenities include bathrooms/showers and access to the river and lake for fishing and boating.
1) While there are a few sites with full hookups, most of the sites have only 30 amp electrical hookups, with no water or sewer. All of the sites are back-in many large enough for any size rig. Since we did not have water at the site we had to fill our fresh water tank at the check-in station where they had a spigot.
2) The campgrounds are not as spacious as other COE campgrounds we have stayed in, but still provided a nice picturesque view of the surrounding hills and river.
3) The bathrooms were very modern and clean with good water pressure and plenty of hot water for the showers.
4) There is no attempt to limit access at night and since it is located close to the small town of Confluence they have had issues with theft in the past. Our last night in the campground we fell victim to a minor theft of our GPS unit from the truck that we had failed to lock up for the night. Thankfully they do have the thieves on surveillance camera, however, I doubt we will ever recover our GPS.
