General Description: Just minutes away from Lake Erie and even closer to I-90, Evergreen Lake Park has over 70 acres of wooded RV sites with all the amenities. Most of the over 250 sites have full hookups with some pull-through sites for transient campers. Amenities include a fishing lake, a separate lake for swimming, mini-golf, propane, playgrounds, volleyball and basket ball courts, and horseshoe pits.
1) While most of the sites may have full hookups, this is not the case for transient campers. Of the more than 250 sites, all but about a dozen are seasonal campers making the campground appear full. Most of the transient sites are located at the office without any shade, although about half of these are pull through sites. We were fortunate to be given one of the few sites for transients located near the back of the campground. Our site was pull-through, very quiet especially during the week, and had plenty of shade. In the middle of July this shade made a big difference.
2) Our site was water and electric (30 amp) only, so we had to use their dump station when we left. I also saw a honeywagon which we could have used but we routinely go a week without dumping anyway. We did have a problem with the electricity voltage dropping so low our surge protector cut out a couple of times, but never for extended periods.
3) Although they have a lot of recreational amenities, it would have been nice to have laundry facilities available. Rather than dealing with the laundrymat on a busy street in downtown Conneaut without limited parking on the street, we opted to wait and do our laundry the following week when we could use a laundry facility within the RV park.
