General Description: Deer Run RV Park is located right off of US 231 just north of Troy, Alabama. It is conveniently located for easy access to a major 4-lane US highway in southeast Alabama. All of the over 80 sites are pull-through, concrete pads, and full hookups. Amenities include a large clubhouse used during the winter to hold parties and pot-luck dinners, a fishing pond, laundry facilities, and propane.
1) Deer Run RV Park is one of the nicer RV Parks we have stayed in. The sites are broken into two groups. The older sites are located right next to the highway, but the newer sites are across the pond away from the highway and thus quieter. All of the sites are pull-through sites large enough for any size RV and the level concrete pad was a nice addition. We even had a small brick patio outside the front door, which you only find in the older sites.
2) The staff were very friendly and even offered us some complimentary popcorn when we checked in. The led us back to our site, which was very nice of them.
3) The bathrooms were very clean and modern, although a bit strange as the stalls were squeezed in next to the shower making it a challenge to get situated on the toilet. The laundry facilities are located in what used to be their game room and thus is very large and spacious. I a sure the number of machines are a blessing during the busier months.
