General Description: Located on the south shore of Waco Lake, Midway Park is a Corps of Engineers Campground with all the amenities of a large city yet the quiet seclusion of a lakeshore campground. Midway Park has 37 developed campsites, 32 with water and electric hookups and 11 with sewer. Amenities include all the advantages of outdoor recreation on a lake including boating and fishing. Other amenities include a modern bathroom/shower facility and playground area.
1) Midway Park is another very nice COE campground that is very well maintained and staffed with volunteers all year round. All of the sites are back-in and some can be challenging for large RVs with the trees in the park. However, most of the sites are deep enough for the largest RV and all come with picnic tables and fire rings. Some of the sites even have covered picnic tables which are very convenient during rain.
2) The volunteers at the COE were very helpful assisting us with finding an RV repairman to fix a problem we had with our propane heater. The bathrooms are modern and heated. They were also kept very clean all week.
