1) Cowhide Cove Campground is a bit of a drive from any major highways, but the trip is worth the effort. It is a small campground, secluded in the pine/hardwood forests of southwestern Arkansas. The campground is located on a small peninsula extending out into Lake Greeson, so the sites along the ridge have views of the lake on both sides.
2) The volunteer staff were very nice and helpful, assisting us in choosing a site for the week. Since we were there during the first week they were open in the spring, we had to wait a day for the water to be turned on, so you might want to go in with fresh water in your tank if you plan an early spring trip. The bathrooms were very nice, modern, heated, and very clean.
