General Description: Pearl Lake Resort is located along Interstate 90/39 just south of the Wisconsin state line. It is a unique campground offering a man-made swimming lake offering scuba lessons during the summer. The resort is primarily for seasonal campers, however, there is row of pull-through full hookup sites in the back of the resort for transient campers. It is a good place to pull in for the night when traveling north or south along the interstate.
1) Pearl Lake Resort is obviously designed for their seasonal campers which sprawl all over the place. However, once you wind your way through them to the transient sites, you find a well organized strip of pull-through full hookups sites. For this type of campground, the sites are fairly large with enough room for a picnic table between the sites. During the time we were there they had received a lot of rain and most of these pull-through sites had a grassy entrance that were too soft for our rig. However, they had one very long gravel site available that was very easy to get in and out of.
2) The bathroom/shower facilities were a long hike from the RV sites as they were part of the swimming beach area actually outside the resort. You had to wind your way through all the seasonal campers to get out of the resort and then across a large parking lot for the beach to get to the facilities. However, they were very modern and kept clean.
