General Description: Cape Fair is a spacious and shady campground on the shores of the James River Arm of Table Rock Lake in southwest Missouri. The campground has 82 reserveable campsites, all with electric and water hookups. The campgrounds is nestled in the oak-history forest and offers all the recreational opportunities of Table Rock Lake, the most notable being the fishing. The Cape Fair Boat Dock and Marina is located next to the campgrounds which offers access to the lake. There is also a large swimming area next to the marina. Other amenities include bathroom/showers, dump station, and playground.
1) Cape Fair Campground is located at an isolated location on the shores of Table Rock Lake. The roads into the campground are therefore windy and slow as you descend to the shores of the lake. However, it is only 15 miles from Branson which has everything you could possibly desire from shopping to entertainment. The sites are a bit crowded for a COE campground, although they are beautifully laid out with rock walls and picnic tables. The campground was designed for small rigs, so rigs over 30 feet will find the curves in the roads a challenge, as well as, backing into your site. We had to park our truck at the bathroom as there was not enough room in the site.
2) The bathrooms are modern and kept very clean. We also found the volunteers to be friendly and helpful.
