Location: Marthaville, Louisiana
Website: RV Park
General Description: Ajax Country Livin’ RV Park is located 17 miles north of Natchitoches, less than 1/2 mile from I-49. Since the early 1700s, Natchitoches has been an important outpost between the French and Spain and after the Louisiana Purchase between the US and Spain. Consequently, there are a number of historic sites within easy driving distance including Fort St Jean Baptiste State Historic Site, Adai Caddo Indian Historic Village, Los Adaes State Historic Site, and Mansfield State Historic Site. The park can accommodate any size RV with 28 long sites, 22 of which are pull-through and all with full hookups. Other amenities include a bathroom/shower facility, laundry room, fishing pond, and propane.
1) While small, the Ajax Country Livin’ RV Park is a well designed and maintained park. The sites are all level and long enough for any size RV. The RV pads are gravel with grass between sites, so they can become very muddy following heavy rains.
2) The bathrooms are modern and clean with a nice, homey feel. The owners are extremely nice and friendly with a lot of information about the historic sites in the area.
