General Description: Newberry Campground is located in the heart of Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula. Although the campground is deep in the northern woods it is also close to many attractions from Painted Rocks National Lakeshore to Mackinac Island. Newberry Campground offers full hookup and partial hookup RV sites. Amenities include laundromat, showers, bathroom, a small convenience store, a heated outdoor pool, pavilion, horseshoes, basketball, and mini golf.
1) Newberry Campground is an old KOA campground and has the look of many KOA campgrounds. The sites are spacious and wooded with lots of shade. They have a mix of pull-through and back-in sites with full and partial hookups. All of the sites are grassy and some are not very level.
2) They only bathroom/shower facility is at the office, which is a bit of a walk from the back of the campground. This also means the bathrooms and showers are kept clean, although a bit dated.
