Location: Bishop Hill, Illinois
General Description: Located within the old Elementary School in Bishop Hill, the Henry County Historical Museum relates the history of northwestern Illinois. Exhibits are laid out with artifacts from throughout history beginning with Indian cultures and life on the prairie. All of the artifacts have been lovingly donated to the museum by local residents over the years and cover a wide range of daily life through the years.
1) This is a typical small county historical museum documenting the history of the area. They have done a good job with organizing the exhibits, although there is very little information about what you are looking at. Each room in the old school is full of artifacts and there is a lot to see, just not much information about what you are looking at.
