Location: East Moline, Illinois

General Description: Fishermans Corner is located along the Mississippi River just above Dam 14 with an excellent view of the marshes and wildlife along the river. It is conveniently located just outside the town of East Moline, part of the metropolitan area known as the Quad Cities, with Davenport, Iowa just across the river. Campsites are available for all sizes of RVs, as well as, tents with electric hookups at each site. Drinking water is available in multiple scattered locations throughout the campground. Other amenities include bathroom/showers facilities and a small playground and amphiteater for weekly presentations. The Central Trail section of the Mississippi River Trail passes by alongside the campground.
1) For COE campgrounds, Fishermans Corner is a small campground with only 48 RV sites squeezed in between the highway and Mississippi. All of the sites are small with barely enough room for a picnic table and fire ring. All of the sites are back-in with electric hookups. There are no water hookups, but most sites have a common spigot within 100 feet of the campsite that can be used to fill your tanks.
2) This is a very popular campgrounds located very close to a major metropolitan area. Especially since all of the sites are reserveable, I would not recommend showing up without a reservation. The campground was essentially full all week during September.
3) The bathrooms and showers are very nice and kept clean. The volunteers were also very helpful. The check-in station is only opened from 5-8 during the week so we had to depend on our reservation. While we were scooping out our reserved site before pulling in to it for water hookups, I was concerned about being able to back the RV into it due to trees and a fence on the other side of the road. A volunteer saw out discussion and offered another site that was not being used that week for volunteers. It was much easier to get into and I was very grateful.
