General Description: Duck Creek Campground is conveniently located near the attractions in Madison, Baraboo, and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin just minutes from I-39. Duck Creek has 134 campsites, 48 of which are for transient campers. About a dozen of these sites have full hookups and most of the rest with electric (30 amp) and water. Amenities include bathroom/shower facilities, limited laundry facilities, a small camp store, the Du Duck Inn Bar and Grill, a swimming pond, playground equipment, and free WiFi.
1) The full-hookup sites are all back-in with gravel pads. Sewer hookups are at the extreme back end of each site which can make it a challenge to hookup to. Power is currently limited to 30 amp, but they were installing 50 amp while we were there. The sites are relatively small, however, they are larger than some of the “parking lots” we have stayed in. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.
2) The bathroom/showers were modern and kept very clean even over the weekend when the campground filled up. They have weekend activities throughout the summer which generally center around their swimming pond. Our’s was Father’s Day Weekend so the activities were suppose to be around dad and their kids. Without young kids we decided not to participate although they seemed to have a lot of fun until the afternoon thunderstorm.
3) The staff were very friendly and helpful with tips of things to do in the area, especially if you were interested in either antiques or Amish shops. We had a difficult time backing our RV into our site and the owners eventually came around to give us a hand.
