General Description: Located near the shores of Cayuga Lake and close to Ithaca, New York, Spruce Row Campgrounds has all the amenities for a quiet stay in central New York. With around 200 sites for RVs, campers, and tents it can meet any needs. There are both pull-through and back-in sites for RVs with full or electric/water hookups. Amenities a large swimming pool, multiple playgrounds and activity fields, bathroom/shower facilities, propane, and a small country store.
1) This is a fairly large campground that extends nearly a half mile back from the road. Even though they have around 200 campsites, at least half of them are filled with seasonal campers. They do have a selection of sites in the middle and back of the campgrounds for transient campers. We had a pull-through site with full hookups located at the back of the campground, meaning it was quiet but a bit of a trip to get out of the campground.
2) The staff were friendly and helpful, but we did not have much dealings with them as they were so far away from our site. They did pick up trash twice a day that was left at the front of the campsite.
3) The restrooms were old and cramped, but clean and sufficient for our needs.
4) The campgrounds was very quiet during the week in early June, but literally filled up with families over the weekend. Of course, this meant it was much noisier over the weekend, but since we did not spend the day in the campgrounds, it was not a problem. Thankfully, they did observe the quiet time without loud parties after 11:00 pm.
