General Description: Located within the northern boundary of Prince William Forest Park, the Prince William Forest RV Campground in conveniently located to I-95, Prince William Forest Park, Civil War battlefields, and other historical sites south of Washington, D.C. The offer paved pull-through sites that are at least 35 feet long set just within the woods of Prince William Forest Park. Facilities include restrooms/showers, swimming pool, laundry facilities, and propane.
1) The location of the RV campground is a little strange. It is only a couple of miles from I-95, but is located along VA 234, a busy 4 lane highway. It is situated in a beautiful wooded area with residential across the highway and a grade school right next to the campground. When we pulled into the campground, it was recess time at the grade school, which is a much different noise then a busy highway!
2) The bathrooms and showers were very nice, modern, and clean. You do need to remember the combination to the door to get in though.
3) The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was nice since our site was at the end of the road and barely long enough for our 35′ fifth wheel. We had to pull into the site at an angle and even then the corners of the RV were in danger of being hit both to the front and back. The other pull-through sites in this row were longer, it was just this one at the end of the row.
4) Based on its convenient location to so many historical sites, we would stay here again.
