Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Webpage: RV Park
General Description: Conveniently located off of I-40 and I-85, Greensboro Campground is a full featured campground. All sites are full hookups and most are pull-through. Sites are gravel with dirt areas between them. There is sufficient room between sites for a picnic table and fire ring. Facilities include a swimming pool, bathroom/showers, indoor game room, laundry, propane, and small camp store.
1) The staff was friendly and helpful in leading us to our site. Since we had a pull-through site parking the RV was easy.
2) The bathrooms were dated and clean. From what I could tell they are not heated which was a challenge since the temperature dropped below freezing for one night while we were there.
3) By conveniently located, they mean right off the Interstate. You could literally watch the cars going by on the Interstate, which meant the noise from a busy I-40 within the bypass around Greensboro, was noisy at all hours. Luckily our RV is well enough insulated that you could not hear the trucks from inside unless it was an ambulance or police car with their siren on.
4) As a stopover while traveling the Interstate I would recommend it, however, I would not stay here again if we intend on spending more than a couple of days.
