General Description: The Holiday KOA at Delaware Water Gap has all the amenities you could with for a KOA. With room for the largest rigs, you have the choice of staying with 50 amp full hookups on the ridge or 50 amp with water in the main park. Accommodations also include many tent sites, wooded sites, and cabins. Amenities include a full camping store, laundry facilities, swimming pool, 18 hole mini-golf, playground, doggie park, beach volleyball, basketball, and a mining camp where you can pan for gems.
1) We stayed at the KOA for the week leading into Memorial Day. The camping store and office was very nice with everything you might need for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
2) The bathrooms and showers were very modern, clean, and playfully painted with animals on the walls and even a small TV hung on the ceiling that was on a motion detector. The showing of the cartoon network would not have been my choice, but I was not there to watch TV anyway.
2) We stayed during the week leading into Memorial Day and during the week it was very quiet. I understand that the owner is a General Contractor in the area and he had his work crews there every day cutting branches and laying new rock on the roadways. They also had numerous staff sprucing up the campground with new paint on the mini-golf and other improvements. Consequently the campground looked great for the holiday weekend.
3) For Memorial Day the campground filled up completely with many families and your children. I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet campground during the weekend. They did have a number of activities planned for their guests including a live band on Saturday evening. As we were there to see the National Parks in the area, we did not take advantage of their activities, although the live band was a nice distraction in the evening.
