Lakeview RV Park

Location: Bluff City, Tennessee

Webpage: RV Park

General Description: For NASCAR fans, Lakeview RV Park is the perfect place to stay as it is only a couple of miles from the Bristol Motor Speedway.  During periods without racing events, Lakeview is a quiet, medium sized RV Park on Boone Lake with a nice overlook and boat facilities for the lake.  All of the sites at Lakeview are full hookup sites with more than ample room between sites.  While all of the sites are back-in, they make it very easy to maneuver with large, three lane, gravel roads between the lanes of sites.  There are very few small trees in the park, which made it easy to get into and out of the site, but would be a problem during the summer if you are looking for shade.  Other amenities include a small camp store, propane, swimming pool with outdoor cafe, restrooms/showers, and boat rentals.

Impressions:

1) The sites are spacious with plenty of room to back-in our RV, even for a relatively inexperienced driver such as myself.  We had a corner site which meant we had more room than average, but even so there was plenty of room for a picnic table and fire ring at each site.

Campground

2) The RV Park does overlook a small arm of Boone Lake, however, while we were there they had drained the lake by 30 feet to for dam repairs, so the view was not as nice as it would normally be.  It was strange to see the docks along the lake standing 30 feet above the water.

3) The restrooms are modern and clean.  In fact, it is the only RV Park we have stayed in that had separate 7 separate bathroom/showers instead of a communal male and female bathrooms.  It was nice to have this level of privacy.

Facilities

4) The staff were very nice and helpful when checking us in.
