Location: Auburn, Alabama
Webpage: RV Park
General Description: Eagles Landing has all the amenities needed for a football weekend with pull through sites (both gravel and cement) and back-in sites. All sites have full hookups with free WiFi and cable TV for a nightly fee. The clubhouse is beautiful with a kitchen, big screen TV, couches, and pool table. Along with clean bathrooms, showers, and a small laundry room, it is a nice small park near the Auburn University campus.
1) We were staying during the week leading up to Christmas in December, so we had missed all of the football traffic. Even though the RV campground appears to be over half full. As it turns out there were only a handful of people actually staying in the campground. I assume all of the other RVs were actually in storage although they were still hooked up to electricity and water.
2) The clubhouse is very nice and would be very attractive during a football weekend. The bathrooms were clean and modern.
3) Although highly rated, I do not feel it is worth the $45 per night fee. The sites are crowded without room, in many cases, for a picnic table which was available at only some of the sites. Ours was not included. There is very little shade in the campground which means it would be very hot during the summer months. Wire Road out past the Vet School is not very busy so road noise was a minimum. While it may be a great place to stay for a football game day, it would not be my first choice when visiting the Auburn area.
