Borden Park Disc Golf

Location: Kingsport, Tennessee

Webpage: Disc Golf Course

General Description:  Borden Park consists of 17 acres with lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic shelters, and playground equipment.  Located near downtown Kingsport, Tennessee, Borden Park also includes an 18-hole disc golf course that winds it’s way around the picnic shelters and other features, which means you have to be careful not to interfere with other visitors.  Being a city park, the course is wide-open with scattered trees.  Most of the holes are short 3-par holes with the pins easily visible from the tee.  The course has very little change in elevation and would be considered an easy course.  As with many public parks it has heavy traffic eliminating nearly all of the ground cover.

Impression:

1) Since my idea of disc golf is not a lot of steep climbs and I have a tendency to hit nearly every tree in my way, this course was perfect for a couple of hours of playing.  Since I was there at 9 in the morning, there was very few people playing the course and it was before the park became busy with picnic users.
